Invite you to join us in providing 1000 hand knit or crocheted hats for Adopt a Native Elder's (ANE) "Christmas Stocking Program," for K-4th grade school children living on Navajo Reservations.

From ANE…”School kids living on the Navajo Reservation face enormous challenges. Many of those challenges  are directly related to the fact that so many of them grow up in impoverished homes.

The Adopt a Native Elder program aims to bring a small bit of happiness to 1000 school children each year through our Christmas Stocking Program. Volunteers fill each stocking with school supplies, gloves, small toys and treats and top them off  with a handmade hat or beanie.”

Hats can be hand knit or crocheted using any pattern and any color (no pom poms please). Adult sizes small and medium (20-21”). Our deadline is September 15, 2023. Drop hats off at participating yarn shops.
